In case you were out of pocket...
Sunday, July 20th, inspired by the story of Jacob's covenant with God (Genesis 28:10-19), Pastor Keith Elder spoke on the topic, "Made for Promises." He spoke of how God has designed us, "wired" us, to seek out meaningful alliances and covenant relationships with God and others. As the Body of Christ in the world, the Church is a promise-making, promise-motivating, promise- supporting phenomena, continually calling us to commit or, occasionally, recommit ourselves to greater expressions of life and faith.
David and Amy Miller blessed the congregation, singing "Amazing Grace, My Stains are Gone." Awesome! Sign up tables for Fall Small Groups and Studies were out as they will be for coming weeks.
